Director of Parks and Recreation: Newly created Recreation District seeks a qualified Full Time Director to operate and maintain a new 90 acre sports complex in Hammond, LA. Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience in sports/recreation management or an Associate degree and 5 years of experience. Salary range $45,000.00 to 65, 000.00. Position open until filled.
Park Maintenance Superintendent: Newly created Recreation District seeks a qualified Full Time Superintendent to organize and direct the maintenance of a new 90 acre sports complex in Hammond, LA. Graduate degree in parks/sports management or horticulture, and 3 years of supervisory experience, or an Associate degree and 5 years of experience. Salary range $ 25, 000.00 to $45,000.00. Position open until filled.
Sports Services Manager: Newly created Recreation District seeks a qualified Part Time Manager to act as the liaison between the Park District, Stakeholders and User groups of a new 90 acre sports complex in Hammond, LA. Graduate degree and progressive management experience in recreation programming, or an Associate degree and 5 years of experience. Salary range $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Position open until filled.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The City of Kingsport, TN Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an energetic and creative individual to assume the position of Program Coordinator to plan, implement and coordinate a broad and diverse range of year-round recreational programs, services and activities for youth and adults. The initial primary focus of the successful candidate will be athletics. Work also includes management and supervision of facilities.
Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of general management principles and practices including financial management, budget preparation, program evaluation and employee supervision;
-
Knowledge of general program development principles and practices for Adult/Youth Recreation programs, services, and activities;
-
Knowledge of general Parks and Recreation operating policies and procedures;
-
Knowledge of the principles and practices of basic facilities maintenance, facility management and scheduling;
-
Knowledge of strategic and long-range planning;
-
Skill in working in an environment subject to limited direct supervision requiring independent decision making and interactive teamwork;
-
Skill in basic meeting and event planning, organizing, and coordinating a variety of recreation/sports programs, activities, and events;
-
Skill in training and supervising volunteer staff to ensure efficient, effective delivery of services of the specific recreation program;
-
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of community leaders, other city department staff and the general public including advisory committees, non-profit organizations and “friends” groups;

Skill in developing grant proposals and award applications;
-
Skill in capital improvement practices and project management;
-
Skill in computers and their applications in management/operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Parks & Recreation, Sports Mgmt. or related field and 5 years related work experience with two of those years in a supervisory capacity. A Master’s Degree and CPRP preferred. Salary Range: $38,700-$55,008.
