Leadership
Scholarships MRPA is a leader in the development of future park and recreation professionals. MRPA’s membership provides scholarships each year to assist students who are members and who are enrolled in leisure service and delivery educational programs.
Professional Certification MRPA recognizes qualified professionals through a certification plan approved by the National Recreation and Park Association. Levels of certification are based on experience, education and accomplishments. MRPA also offers continuing education units (CEU’s) to professionals to assist them in maintaining their certification. Monthly Newsletter Forum Update is the primary communication tool of the membership. As a member you’ll get a steady stream of ideas and information that will help you manage your park and recreation programs, facilities and departments in a professional and efficient manner. Visit our archives page for e-publications of Forum. Members have the option of receiving this electronically or by mail.
E-newsletter MRPA uses Newsbites to send out time-sensitive information. We are embracing the needs of younger workforce by meeting them where they are. The frequency is capped at weekly to respect your Inbox. Members receive discounts on advertisements in this publication.
Networking MRPA offers a chance to meet a variety of professionals who are experiencing similar challenges and. The association provides members the opportunity to work together toward common goals, to share ideas and to exchange information. Professional advice and consultation can also be arranged through MRPA.
